I rocketed through most of the easy difficulty levels. Maybe this game is aimed at people younger than Ph.Ds like myself. The expert difficulty level was more of a challenge at first, and in my opinion should be made available earlier. Once I got some upgrades I started rocketing through that level too. There are some nice features, like opponents with different abilities and special tiles. For someone developing their vocabulary it could be a very fun game. I got through it without spending any real world money. There were a few ads at the bottom, but I did not find them to be intrusive.

This is challenging and fun. Love that you arent forced to buy items or wait hours to recharge your lives. Thank you!

What a find! I love this little game- the ads arent annoying and the gameplay is great. Fun adventure of fighting monster with words. A lot fun aspects to games with gems, challenge expectations, spells and more. I truly enjoy playing this game! My only request... More levels!!! I would gladly pay for an expansion pack!! Pretty please!

Once upon a time, I really enjoyed playing Bookworm Adventures on my desktop, and kept wishing for an app with the same sort of word game play. I finally found it! Ive already been through the map once, and am enjoying my 2nd time through just as much. Ive had no problems with loading, saving, or game play - its a solid app with lots of word fun. Definitely recommended!

Right amount of challenge. Right price. You dont need to buy gems to play, otherwise I would have quit playing. I did upgrade to the ad free version.

Ive been wanting a game on iOS like bookworm adventures for a long time. I even considered trying to write it myself. Turns out I dont have to. Love this game.

I think the game is based on a really good idea, but the generation of letters doesnt feel random to me. As you advance, you get more duplicate letters. Ive played levels where I literally get one consonant and the rest vowels. It gets to the point where you would have to buy power ups to advance because of the unbalanced letter distribution. I wont do that so Ill be uninstalling the game. Would be great if we could pay a one-time purchase of 4 or 5 dollars and receive random letter generation.

This is one of my all-time favorite games. Its like scrabble but with quests and challenges, making the game difficult to become bored with. I definitely recommend Letter Quest for folks looking for a low-key but exciting adventure.

Its difficult to find engaging apps and games that arent exclusively for iOS 7/8 and above, but this one went beyond all my expectations. It works perfectly on my iPod touch, and its a cute, witty, fun game that has a perfect balance between challenge and reward. Little details like the art style and plot are worked in perfectly and add an extra dimension to otherwise casual gameplay. I couldnt possibly give it any less than 5 stars.

Ill preface this by saying, Im an avid word game player in that I solely play word games and I never pay for any in-app purchases. If I cant beat it with what Im given for free, it isnt worth finishing the game. That being said, I found this game highly entertaining. I beat the normal level in 16 hours, and was super excited to see there was an expert level. I thought, "Great! Ill be really challenged now!" and it seemed that way at first. But surprisingly, I started beating the levels more easily than the normal level. In the end, I beat the expert level in 14 hours. All stars, crystal levels and everything. It was a fun distraction, but I was looking for a fun word game that would really captivate me and would take longer to beat. This wasnt it. Still, fun game though.

If you like a good spell and defeat game with a pinch of strategy and a dash of humor, youll like this. Try it...
