Help the adorable grim reapers Grimm and Rose defeat monsters, ghosts, evil bunnies and more using the power of words!

Letter Quest is a turn-based RPG where players attack monsters by spelling words. But be careful since the monsters fight back by creating different letter tiles such as poison, plague, stone, and whirlwind, or steal your health, heal themselves, use critical attacks, and much, much more!

Features:

● 40 stages, with 4 unique ways to play each one
● Five separate areas, each with unique art and music tracks
● Tons of upgrades, books, potions, special items and weapons to help you on your journey
● Over 30 monsters to fight
● Boss monsters with unique abilities
● 70 quests to complete
● Leaderboards - compete with your friends
● 50 Game Center achievements

Finding the game too difficult? Make sure to check out the upgrades store, especially the first 3 upgrade types - they increase your max health, increase the damage you do by spelling words, and decrease the amount of damage you take from monsters. Some players have been saying the game is too hard by around stage 10-15, but hadnt purchased a single upgrade! So please visit the upgrades shop every once in a while to give Grimm and Rose a fighting chance!

Pros and cons of Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey app for iPhone and iPad

Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey app good for

An easy game that can be not so easy when all stars are tried ?
Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey is definitely a very good word game, mixed with a bit of role-playing. The concept is not new: a table with letters with which we must spell words to destroy enemies and foes alike. With some good variations on this theme, and a very attractive presentation, Bacon Bandits definitely carved a good place for themselves in the market. We are in control of Grimm, the mini-Grim Reaper as he passes through various levels filled with monsters of all sizes to conquer it all. Each completed level gives up to three stars. For the second star, you must finish the level in a given period of time. The third star is getting more complicated to acquire: there is a unique special challenge in each level, such as passing the level using only two words in total. Also, tiles of individual letters can also change the game greatly: some cracked tiles will not have any attack power when used. Also, to your advantage, you want to watch out for the famous crystal tiles, that will make your more powerful toward your foes. Monsters themselves in this games are not simply routine: some ghost will not get damaged if words begin with a vowel, or maybe you will need to use the tiles on the outer rim of the table to defeat a robust zombie. To pace ourselves, we will sometime stumble upon a chest that will require a game of hangman to open. Things are all fresh and new, which is very welcome in a spelling game. As this article was originally written in French, for Quebec-based players, I’ll add that there is not need to be a Rhode’s scholar to master this game. I challenged myself to complete three levels using an English vocabulary comparable to the one I had as a French child (yes, no, jump, toaster, etc.) and I managed to mow down several monsters easily. The roleplaying aspect of Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey is related to the ability to raise our level attributes using gems collected through success in completing levels. Some quests are also available throughout the game, like having to spell 5 four-letter words during a single level, or to use a total of 25 times the tiles around the edge. To keep healthy, potions are available at the store, as well as various other helpful things such as better armor or weapons. While Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey is free, it also offers us to buy, against cold hard cash, additional gems or various helpful upgrades. However, your gaming experience will not suffer at all if you prefer not to invest financially.
I got this game because I like words games, but this one adds adorable monsters and just enough strategy to keep it fun and easy.
Easy to pick up and put down. Ads not too annoying. I went ahead and bought it anyway for the extra fluff. Worth every penny. Looking forward to new stuff. Love the upgrades and book slot features that allow you to strategize. Turns a simple little game into something with replay value.
This game is actually pretty enjoyable. I found it while looking for something that was similar to bookworm. It isnt bookworm, but in a way it is actually a lot better and more interesting. The ads arent overwhelming and you can play without having to pay, though I can where even I would be tempted to drop some money into this game.
This game is awesome but we need more....make some more levels or a sequel...we will pay!!!

Some bad moments

Updated the game, now when I hit the icon, I get the developer name on screen for a few seconds, then I get sent back to my list of app icons. Please fix for all generations of iPods/iPod Touch
I need more guides on the rules and objectives of the game. It seems to be written as of the player is already familiar with the game. For a new comer, I am lost.
The game is fun enough. But I feel like a lot of things could be changed or added. For one thing, tallying up the letters in your word would be nice, so you could see if one word you made is better than another. Also I feel some things could be explained better. How much are orange tiles compared to the silver ones? Do the monsters attack regardless of whether your word is good or not? I feel like Im being penalized when I make a large word because regardless, the monster still takes the same amount of health from me. So I guess the point is to disregard your health and focus your energy solely on breaking the monster? The power ups are a nice feature. The game I wouldnt say has very many addictive qualities, and I get bored playing it after a few minutes. Overall a cute concept, but needs some TLC.
My friend Joe recommended I try this game because word games are kinda my thing. This game is SO MUCH FUN! I cant stop playing it! If youre into word games then you should definitely give them a try.
I dont mind spending money on a word game. But if I am forced to within 3 minutes of starting a game, I am out. I want to get a few levels before they start begging for my $$ AND making me watch videos for points. I was using 6-8 letter words and after 5 tries, couldnt get past the second challenge. Im out. Delete.
I love word and puzzle game but they can sometimes get a little boring or repetitive. This game is a perfect combination of word game fun with the quirkiness of plants vs zombies.
